I believe:
- Kansas should meet or exceed the nations curriculum standards in all areas.
- Kansas schools should be well funded.
- Educators should be well paid.
- Administrators and educators should have a voice.
- There is a lot of room for improvement in the NCLB (No Child Left Behind).
- I believe strongly that in order to be a leader in education we must start with Early Childhood Education.
My mission, my goal, is to add stability and unity to a school board that has a history of instability. Without stability you cannot have growth. I believe that Kansas can be a leader in education. As we all know, funding is a vital issue in education. I plan on being a voice to the legislators for this cause.
I realize that there are a lot of questions about education that I have not addressed. I welcome and encourage you to e-mail me your questions and I would be happy to answer them.
In order for me to help our education system, I need your help and support. Together we can ensure that our children will get the best education possible.
